Will the Aurora Borealis (the Northern Lights) still be here in 10 years from now?
They will still be there for years and years to come, as they are the result of high energy cosmic rays interacting with mainly atomic oxygen and nitrogen in the upper atmosphere. They are easiest to see in the northern latitudes pretty much year round, though in the mid-spring to mid-summer the Sun remains close to the horizon and thus it’s glare can hamper viewing the Aurora Borealis, especially if you are close to the Arctic Circle.
