Will the antibiotic, Azithromycin, generic for Zithromycin, (a 5 day treatment, 250mg ea) treat strep throat?
You should definately see a doctor before taking antibiotics too treat strep throat. If the dosage of 250mg does not work, the doctor might need to up the dosage or try another antibiotic; and if you don’t see a doctor after using the medication and you are not well.
