Will the ancient Mongol Empire ever rise again to conquer all of Asia and Eastern Europe???
Almost certainly not. The population base, technological base and relative technological advancement which allowed for the first Mongol successes are simply not there. Now, China might possibly be able to play the part of the Mongol Horde if it chose to do so. They currently have the population, the technology and the political cohesiveness to challange any and all of their neighbors, and might gain greatly from overrunning Siberia and grabbing the resources, pushing all the way to Kiev in the North and the Persian Gulf in the South. I don’t know that they would try such an extensive grab, but they might be able to pull it off.
