Will the american dollar continue to decrease in value in 2008?
Yes. The only way the Federal Reserve can maintain the value of the dollar is to continually increase the amount of the money supply, that includes the actual $100 notes and various forms of credit infused into the market. Right now banks and other institutions are on the verge of failure because their books are out of line. By that I mean, profits are thought of in terms of credit. Like, if I borrow out $5000 today at 10% interest over 5 years, I book that as so much business – but what’s happening is that there is SO MUCH credit in the market that people can’t possibly pay that money back, but corporations are still booking it as a profit. In 2007 basically anyone could get a mortgage, but now there is a tightening of the credit in the housing market so home prices have started to drop, and they will continue to do so. And the high risk people that received mortgages recently (who are now defaulting on their loans) have left thousands of homes in foreclosure. Sorry if I’m rambling, b
