Will the Air Filter used on the Britalman Cold Air Intake damage my mass air sensor?
A Filter with the proper amount of oil applied should not damage a vehicles mass air sensor. The filter manufacturer is aware that there have been cases where the oil on their competitors performance filters have damaged the mass air sensor, but it is the manufacturer’s assessment that this occurred because the filter was oiled excessively. The manufacturer utilizes robots to apply the oil and can control the amount applied within one (1) gram. Since you will likely not have a robot to apply the oil to your filter, the manufacturer of the filter invented the Precision Cleaning & Oiling Kit which will allow you to properly clean and oil your filter in the field.
