Will temperature affect the amount of material that will dissolve in water especially salt?
Solubility is defined as the amount of a solute that will dissolve in a given volume of solvent at a given temperature. For solids such as salts, yes, as the temperature increases, the amount that will dissolve increases. The opposite is true of dissolved gases. A solubility graph shows grams that will dissolve in 100 grams or ml of water, and almost all salts show an increase. Table salt, NaCl, does not increase as much as others.
