Will Ted Ginn step up as a true No. 1 receiver?
Training camp should provide a good indication of how ready Ginn is to live up to his first-round draft status and be the “go-to” receiver the Dolphins desperately need. Ginn wasn’t drafted by this Dolphins front office, meaning Bill Parcells and Co. won’t give him much more room for error. The third-year pro has speed, and his 56 receptions last season were a good sign that he is developing, but a third straight season with two touchdown receptions won’t be good enough. Neither of Ginn’s two touchdown receptions came in the second half last year, and QB Chad Pennington’s arm strength isn’t to blame for that. Pennington can put enough on the deep ball — It’s up to Ginn to improve his route running and hands.
