Will Tadds work if Access 97 (or 2000 or XP or 2003) is not installed?
A> No. Tadds is an Access application and requires the underlying Access code (which is a component of selected “suites” of Microsoft’s Office product). However, for evaluation purposes a special ( runtime.pkg) flavor of Tadds is available that includes a licensed copy of the Microsoft Access/97 Runtime modules. This flavor can be used to install a (mostly) full-function Tadds demo system on a PC that does not have Access already on it. Special note re Windows XP: Tadds has been tested with Windows XP Service Pack 2 to confirm that it is compatible with the Service Pack 2 modifications and is not adversly affected by them.
