Will Stephen King books be popular 500 years from now?

I believe he will. Society today already views him as the modern day Edgar Allan Poe. Stephen King has taken horror and science fiction to a whole new level. He is one of the top selling author’s of our time, 320 million. He will be remembered for year. Two author’s stick out in my mind that will be forever remembered: J.K. Rowling Stephen King Daniel Steel is the top selling living author, around 540 million, and Nora Roberts has sold around 290 million copies. These two are great, but their work isn’t really unique, so I don’t know if their work will be remembered as well as King and Rowling. “Twilight” will not be remembered 500 years from now. It’s only sold 25 million copies. With the turn out of the movie (Only about $160 million worldwide) and the last book already out, I don’t think many more people will buy it. All of this publicity has helped it some, but not much.
