Will Sony lower the PS3 cost again by Christmas 2008?
Some Video Game Anaylsts think that Sony wont drop the price of the PS3 in 2008 at all, but I think that Sony will most likely drop the PS3 by $50 dollars at least by this Christamas. Here is the reason why Video Game Analysts think that Sony wont be dropping the PS3’s price in 2008: They think that Sony isn’t focused on market share as much as before and they think that Sony will start to focus on profitability. So basically that means that the Video Game Anaylsts think that Sony isn’t really concerned with beating Nintendo or Microsoft in the console war as much and Sony is just focused on making the Playstation 3 console business profitable because Sony is barely making money off of PS3 sales right now and because Sony lost a LOT of money during the PS3’s intial launch because they were selling PS3’s for a lot less than what it cost to manufacture them.
