Will scorpions eat insect that is dead?

No it will not, remove the cricket asap to prevent mites, since they like to feed off of dead insects and insect parts, a scorpion will only eat a FRESHLY killed cricket that you’re holding with tweezers to imitate a living one (To my knowledge and from personal experience) also always remember to remove pieces of dead crickets left over as to prevent mites, or you can use Isopods (Pillbugs, sowbugs, etc.) to do mandatory cleaning and get rid of the dead pieces, good luck. (Woops, noticed my typo when I meant to say freshly killed Cricket..
