Will running on an eliptical at a higher resistance increase my speed, vertical, and agility?
Most likely, it will not. Using the eliptical at a higher resistance will be a great way to increase your c ardiovascular endurance, but it will not make you more agile or give you a better vertical. It might help your speed a liitle bit, but the eliptical takes away weightbearing, so your sprinting times probably won’t improve too much. In order to iumprove your vertical, you can start with seated and standing calf raises. Squats with also be functional, especially if you focus on the use of your power. You can do this by using a high weight with low reps and performing them as fast as you can (you should have a spotter to help you keep safe on this). To increase your agility, resistance training will not help as much as ladder work and cones. Agility can be improved by performing suicides (which will help yopur speed immensely), quick direction changes with the use of cones, box drills, etc…
