Will running multiple programs in the background during cd/dvd burning make the burning less efficient?
This is true to some extent, most burning programs now are built specifically for burning without data loss now a days. Used to be if you maxed out your memory or processor during a burn session the buffer for the data to be burned would be messed up and you would corrupt the CD. However many programs now buffer the entire session before starting.
