Yes – Remploy will deliver the new programme from October 2010. Remploy are the largest provider of WORKSTEP, delivered through Grant in Aid (GIA) funding. Through WORKSTEP they directly employ around 3,000 disabled people in 54 factory sites and currently support over 6,000 disabled people into mainstream jobs through their Employment Services. In 2008, a 5 year modernisation plan was introduced which includes a progressive increase in the numbers of disabled people placed into mainstream employment by the end of the plan, building up to Remploy placing 20,000 people annually by 2012-13 Remploy also currently hold three Work Preparation contracts which contribute to their non WORKSTEP targets Where will Remploy deliver its services?
