They will work. The LOC only uses the signal. And people suggest tapping in the rear speaker wires because they are *usually* easier to get to and is closer to the amp. I have never experienced a drop in volume. I actually prefer to use LOC especially with current factory units that already have all the options you want, ie nav, bluetooth, cd changer, appearance, etc. It also looks like you dont have a system when a thief comes strolling by.
