Will Reach! negatively impact the fundraising efforts of other local charities?
Large-scale fundraising campaigns are now regular occurrences throughout North America. There is no evidence that success for one organization means failure for another. Donors continue to support the charities that they care deeply about. In Calgary, many large fundraising organizations have met or exceeded their goals in recent years including the United Way, the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation and The Calgary Foundation. A number of out-of-city or out-of-province campaigns have also acquired significant gifts from Calgary donors, with seemingly limited impact on local giving.
