Will Rangers just Try and keep a clean sheet against Fiorentina?
To be honest would love to see us go out there with 2 up front and try to score,we can’t rely on keeping a clean sheet at Ibrox then just to score in the away leg. I mean it’s the semi finals and it doesn’t help that the team don’t wear green and white!!! So in answer to your question no I hope we don’t go for the defending tactics,we need to score against them as we have the home advantage. Feel sorry for the fans going out to Italy though, there will be no public transport as it is a public holiday they said, the pubs will be shut, fans will have their passports photocopied so they know exactly who is there and why, fans without a ticket a ticket won’t be allowed anywhere near the stadium. So Rangers welcome the Fiorentina fans with open arms and what do we get in return, being treated like bloody criminals!!!!!!
I think a clean sheet against the Italians would be a fantastic achievement, but I feel this is perhaps one tie too many in Europe given the circumstances. Considering nobody outside of Ibrox (and many Rangers fans) gave the club much of a chance of surviving the qualifiers of the CL, to make the semis of the UEFA has been an outstanding feat and Walter Smith and all at Ibrox deserve a huge vote of appreciation. Of course, I was one who thought they would be lucky to get past Panathinaikos, then Werder Bremen and I was sure Sporting would see us off….but I was thankfully wrong on all counts and who’s to say I won’t be wrong again come Thursday? Come on ‘Gers……put all those Tims who are praying so hard again that this is the end of a magnificent European campaign to shame and show us once more that a Scottish team does not surrender easily…to anybody! WATP!
