Will producers still require a licence and be allocated a quota of hens?

No. The old licence and quota requirements have been abolished, so there are no restrictions now on the number of hens that a person can farm. Producers will be required to have their Quality Assurance (QA) programs audited by a suitably qualified independent third party auditor; those reports will need to be provided to the Department.
