Pinnacle to release Pinnacle Video Transfer device for PMPs New device will allow users to transfer DVDs, TV shows and other video content directly to their PMPs without a computer. Avid’s consumer division, Pinnacle Systems, announced today the Pinnacle Video Transfer, a device that records analog video onto any USB 2.0 storage device without a PC. The single-button process records video from a TV, DVD player, PVR, camcorder or set-top box directly to an iPod Video, 3rd Gen iPod nano, iPod classic, Sony PSP, USB flash drive or hard drive. For each connected device, The user can select from three different recording levels, for each device, allowing control of the video quality and video size. The Pinnacle Video transfer could easily be the easiest way for a novice to get the content they want from their DVDs and televisions onto personal devices.
