Will PestContro be less effective if doors or windows are open?
Opening or closing screened windows or doors does not affect the electromagnetic components of PestContro, which works within walls, floors, and ceilings. But the physical nature of the home can affect the ultrasonic waves. Ultrasound cannot penetrate solid objects like walls or doors. When PestContro is placed in a closed room, the ultrasound is effective only in that room. If the door is open, the sound waves can travel to other areas of the home. Screened windows and doors can reduce the effectiveness of the ultrasonic waves. You can use individual ultrasonic units in the closed rooms (item 97322).
