The thing about “The Linda Replacement That Failed”, or as she’s commonly known, Heather Mills, is that she was very much like Linda. She resembled her (blonde hair, pale, etc.), but she was also an avid vegetarian and activist. I think Paul is attracted to that sort of woman, but most importantly, I think he really wanted Linda back. Heather, to me, was like Linda when Paul first met her– young, passionate, involved, etc. While I don’t think marrying Heather was EVER a good idea, the fact of the matter is that he wouldn’t be the first person around to go after someone that reminded them of a lost love. After all, Paul and Linda had been married a LONG time– he took on her children as his own, she joined Wings and endured countless criticisms (not only for being the bride of a Beatle, but) for her musical (in)abilities, etc. They both put a lot into the marriage, and while I sometimes wonder if Paul was always faithful to her (due to his past… history), I have to imagine that he di
