Will owning a bird house attract unwanted pest?

That depends on your opinion of a pest.. If these are animals such as hornets, bees, and mice (if close to the ground) then yes owning a bird house is enevidably going to attract few unwanted pests. However, the best thing that you can do in this situation (other than occasionally checking to make sure bees are not nesting) is to clean the house once a year after it has been occupied so long as your feathered friends don’t plan on sticking around all winter. Plus if you put some “bar soap” (not a bar of soap ;)) on the inside of the roof, this will keep insects, and spiders away from your birds.
