Will Ofsted or the LA be able to use sample test results for accountability purposes?

No. Sample test results will not go to Ofsted, local authorities or schools in any way that could be used for accountability purposes. It will not be possible to identify individual schools. Because the sample will only be statistically valid at national level, the DCSF will only publish data at national level — that is to say, the aggregated results of all the pupils involved.
