Will OCZ (OCZ2G80016GQ) 16GB DDR2 Gold kit work with Asus M3A79-T Deluxe AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX motherboard?
I am building an AMD Phenom II 940 system, and want to use the OCZ (OCZ2G80016GQ) 16GB DDR2 Gold kit with the Asus M3A79-T Deluxe AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX motherboard. This is the highest end motherboard currently offered for AMD CPUs. It is advertised as supporting 16GB ram, and right now I have this ram kit sitting in my online shopping cart along with the rest of the components (see below). Before I pull the trigger, can OCZ slap one of these kits into this or another 790FX/790GX motherboard and test it out.
