Will obama get rid of freedom of speech?
He will either get his Party in Congress to vote back the Fairness Doctrine or he will do it by presidential decree. Then what happens? There are about 15 conservative talk shows on the radio and TV. But ony 2 or 3 liberal talk shows. Since networks will have to give equal time, they will have to dig up a bunch of liberal shows. But no one listens to them which is why there are only 2 or 3. Since the networks are a business, they will not put on shows that no one watches. So the only way they can be “fair” is to cut a bunch of the Conservative talk shows. And that is what Obama really wants, he wants to shut up the conservative talk shows. This whole idea was the theme of a science fiction story a number of years ago. In that story the dictator called in the leader of the network association and made them sign an agreement that each time they spoke against him, they would allow someone else to speak for him. Most assuredly, O will make a valiant effort in overturning Prop 8 which will allow homosexuals to marry, adopt, receive benefits, not be “discriminated against”, etc. He will attempt to force employers to hire Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) people regardless the employers’ thoughts, religious beliefs, disgust, etc. O will try to enact laws that will favor LGBTs “rights” if they even feel they’ve been discriminated against and the law will carry longer incarceration time. Also, there is talk of O’s trying to enable the Fairness Doctrine again in which conservative and christian talk shows will be forced to allow equal time on the programs for opposing view points. If that isn’t bad enough, preachers will have to couch their sermons carefully, or not at all, when teaching God’s word on this very subject.
