Will Newly Single ‘American Idol’’s Crystal Bowersox Date Lee DeWyze?
“American Idol” has been a good news-bad news endeavor for Crystal Bowersox, who broke up with her boyfriend Tony Kusian just hours before Tuesday night’s performance. And then on Wednesday, she found out she finished second to Lee DeWyze when all the votes were counted. While that may sound like only bad news, the good news is that the second-place finalist often surpasses the winner. In Crystal’s case, there are already several record labels who want to sign her. Her deal will be worked out sometime next week, and today she is confident that auditioning for “American Idol” was the right thing to do, even though it ended her romance. “I am a pretty smart girl,” she says. “I knew what I was signing up for, or at least I had a good idea. You never really comprehend the situation until you are in it and out of it. I am rolling with the punches.
