Will NDS eDirectory let me delegate authority to maintain users and authorizations?
NDS lets you delegate administration of a branch of the NDS tree, revoking your own management rights to that branch. You might need to do this if special security requirements require a different administrator with complete control over that branch. To delegate administration: • Grant the person who will receive the authorization Supervisor object rights at the top container of the branch of the tree. • Create an inherited rights filer (IRF) on that container to filter the Supervisor right and any other rights you want blocked. WARNING: If you delegate administration to a User object and that object is subsequently deleted, there will be no objects with NDS rights to manage that branch. See Delegated Administration for more information.
