Will my stored messages and folders (Archives) migrate automatically to the new server (CMS/UVa Exchange Service/UVa Gmail/UVa Microsoft Live@edu)?
No. Only your Inbox will be moved when you are migrated, but you can move these messages and folders yourself before March 10, 2009 providing you have storage space available. You may have difficulties if you have a large mailbox on unix.mail and many folders stored on blue.unix: for the CMS and UVa Exchange Service, the total storage (for Inbox and archive mail messages) is 2 GB. You will need to know the size of your Inbox on unix.mail and the amount of storage you are using on blue.unix before you attempt to move your folders to your new email server. Warning: Because UVa Microsoft Live@edu does not support the IMAP protocol, it is difficult, and in some cases may be impossible, to move messages from a unix.mail Inbox or a blue.unix folder to a UVa Microsoft Live@edu account. Students who select a UVa Microsoft Live@edu account should keep this in mind as they plan their migration. They may keep and continue to access their email archive on blue.unix.
