Yes, your motherboard will support SATA DVD burners. However, you may find using an IDE interfaced DVD drive to be less cumbersome. By this, I mean that IDE cables are more flexible and much longer. When compared to a SATA interface inside your computer, which you may find requires you to purchase a longer cable or have it drag across the motherboard creating heat issues.
