Yes, your mobile will use slightly more battery power when running the FishText mobile application, but the effects of this will be very small. However, if you are using an active data connection, e.g. you are running the application with the ‘Check incoming’ setting enabled, you may find that your battery will drain more quickly. If you find that your battery runs out too fast when using the FishText application, or, if your battery is low, we recommend closing the application and ending the data connection after you have sent your messages. Turning off the ‘Check incoming’ setting will also help your battery to last longer.
