Will my license allow me to be elligible to receive 3rd party remimbursements from insurance companies?
NYMHCA is actively working on helping counselors to be elligible to be on provider panels for insurance companies. It will take a few years before we are fully accepted, but it will happen over time. If you are either accepted by or turned down by an insurance company, please let us know. That information is vital to the process. In the mean time, apply to provider panels and ask your clients who want to use their insurance to pay for your services to contact their insurance companies and ask that you be included on their panels. That can speed the acceptance process.
