Dial *228, and choose the option for “updating roaming list” to update your phone with the latest coverage for Cricket. Once you do this, you’ll get voice & text whereever metroPCS has service (because metroPCS and Cricket have a roaming agreement). Data is not guaranteed. I would think that if you use the phone a lot in metroPCS coverage area, because it costs Cricket more money when you do this, there is a slight possibility that Cricket will suspend your service. But I don’t think this will be likely unless you use your phone for a great number of minutes. So keep on using your Cricket phone, and if it does happen, think about it then.
