Will my computer run Bioshock in a satisfactory fashion?
Your rig is alright, but Bioshock is a power hog. I’m expecting lowest resolution with medium settings (or slightly higher resolution with low settings) in order to have playable framerate for an First Person Shooter. So if you still consider that a good gaming experience than Bioshock is good for you. Or a foolproof way is to just download the demo and see what settings you can play it at, the engine for the demo and game are essentially the same. I have a Macbook Pro newest model 128mb video graphics card and I played it on lowest resolution at high settings with good framerate. That’s 2.2ghz duo core, 2gb ram, and Nvidia 8600m GT. That’s my basis of evaluation.
Bioshock should run smoothly on your PC, but you should probabla lower some of the details because of your Graphic Card. Even though requires a x1550 or 6600gt GPU minimum, I think you should be able to run the gme smoothly because you have 2GB of ram. Just in case check this link: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest It may say that you do not meet the minimum requirements and the reason will most likely be your x1050 but there shouldn’t be any problems.
