Will Mount Royal continue to offer “college” programs such as applied degrees, university transfer programs, diplomas and certificates? Can I still take academic upgrading courses at Mount Royal?

Yes, yes and yes. Currently, approximately 15% of our students are enrolled in credit diplomas and certificates and we have no plans to change any of these programs. Some of Mount Royal’s applied degrees have been converted to full university degrees such as Applied Bachelor of Justice Studies students can now study Bachelor of Arts — Criminal Justice. Academic upgrading is one of many programs offered through Mount Royal’s Faculty of Continuing Education. As long as there is a need for this type of programming, Mount Royal will make sure that academic upgrading is provided.
