Monterey Weed-Hoe has been used for years to control nutgrass. Recently, we have added another product, Nutgrass ‘Nihilator, that is more effective on nutgrass than MSMA. Since nutgrass is harder to control, more applications of Monterey Weed-Hoe may be necessary. Spot treatments are also recommended with nutgrass, since it does not usually cover the entire lawn.
