Will Michael Parkhurst being on the soccer team give the USA hopes of a medal?
There are so many different teams participating in Olympics. The US soccer team is not a bad team but they are nowhere close to winning a medal in Olympics, IMO. Any soccer Olympics team is consist of 18 players. Olympic teams are supposed to be younger than national teams. But they are not the “under-21” national team. For that matter all players are under 23 except for 3 who can be over 23. Parkhurst, 24; US striker Brian McBride, 36; and Chivas USA goalkeeper Brad Guzan, 23, are the overage players. Parkhurst is a very good soccer defender. He is certainly going to help the US Olympics team a great deal. I would say that Argentina, Brazil and Nigeria has a good chance of winning the gold medal in soccer in 2008 Olympics! US soccer team in Olympics 2008 is going to be in Group B.
