Will Michael Jacksons doctors face charges for his death?
None of the 7 doctors and 1 nurse investigated by the state of California will face criminal prosecution for Michael Jackson’s death. There is insufficient evidence.
However, the doctor who gave Michael Jackson prescription drugs under a fake name could be at risk for disciplinary actions from the California medical board.
Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson’s personal physician, was charged with involuntary manslaughter earlier this year.
Jackson’s death was ruled due to an overdose of propoful (an anesthetic used to put surgical patients to sleep) and lorazepam (an anti-anxiety drug). Mixed, the two drugs heighten respiratory and cadiovascular depression.
