Will medicare / medicaid / private insurance reimburse your organization for hospice care?
No, Clarehouse does not provide hospice care. Clarehouse provides a service that hospices in our community do not provide – living space and 24-hour care giving. This is an issue that many people do not realize until they find themselves in this situation. Hospice is a service package that is provided in the home on an intermittent basis. The patient/family is expected to be the primary caregiver and ensure 24-hour care for the patient. Hospice workers come and go and provide a variety of services, but they do not stay around the clock for the basic care giving needs. Clarehouse works with local hospice programs to fill in these care gaps.
