The recently approved Medicare reform legislation authorizes a demonstration project to expand Medicare coverage for self-injected biological therapies. Unfortunately, despite Congressional intent, the Medicare reform bill did not specifically mention the inclusion of beneficiaries living with rheumatoid arthritis in the demonstration project.
