Will manually deleting all files in Temporary Internet folder be as effective as running MyPrivacy?
No if you manually delete files then they will be recreated with the help of index.dat file when you open IE next time and its not removing your trace. Index.dat files cannot be deleted manually because Windows is using this while windows is running. MyPrivacy is programmed such that it removes the trace from index.dat files.
