Will Manny Ramirez get traded and to where?

no every year you hear about manny ramirez possibly being traded but it doen’t happen and it won’t happen this year either because it would not be in their best interest to do so and especially trading him in their division especially to a hated rival nope not gonna happen i hope the yankees don’t sign anybody and that all the free agents reject the yankees

What is it about Manny Ramirez? He doesn’t hustle, he has a “I deserve the MVP every season” attitude and he’s made some of the most hilarious plays in the outfield you’ll ever see (Game One of the ’04 World Series, he tripped on himself and the ball bounced off his glove, I laughed so hard…wasn’t laughing later when the Cards lost)….yet if he wasn’t in baseball, I’d miss him. The guy can hit for sure. He is truly an American League-type player. And I’d sure as heck take him on my team any day of the week, and I HATE it when players don’t hustle, but the guy has a dangerous bat, what can I say….he’s just Manny. And I think he’ll stay in Boston….but I’d like to see him help a team that hasn’t done well in awhile, like the Orioles. The Orioles used to be a force. Major League Baseball needs the Orioles to do well again.

My gut feeling is no. The Red Sox won the World Series in 2004 on the back of David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez pounding the ball as the best 1,2 punch in Baseball and from what I’ve read – they won’t be getting that kind of instant return if they managed to find a taker for Manny’s big salary to start with. Boston will roll the dice with their 2006 roster again in 2007 and hope to get a full year from Schilling, Ramirez, Varitek and Ortiz like they did 2 years ago… but I’d be very surprised if they improved their chances of winning another title without Manny Ramirez on the roster.
