We have Revenue / Registration Depts with Govt which have the details of ownership of fixed assets in their jurisdictions. Even if a person owns property in other states or places, showing a residence address there, the person should be asked to furnish his native address as well on oath, so that the details are duly linked to the data in the other addresses. A cursory check of details should also be taken in respect of multi millionaires! These are quite feasible with the array of depts and officials with govt.\ Besides we are asked to furnish our PAN number for any financial transactions like deposits over 50k. What is the use if the details so collected from banks and financial / investment institutions are not compiled Assessee wise and consolidated for a quick check by Income Tax or other depts monitoring wealth and money flow in society? At present they seem to be checking only on suspicion and not as a routine basis and particularly for politicians, film industry, export trade,
