Will major air carriers accept human remains in the BioSeal® System?
Decedents that have been properly prepared and sealed in a BioSeal System pouch, packed with frozen gel packs then placed into an ATA approved fiberboard shipping container (combo) will be accepted by all major air carriers. The following major airlines are currently accepting the BioSeal™ System for the primary containment of human remains on their aircraft: US Air, Continental Airlines, Delta, American Airlines, Alaska Airlines and Northwest Airlines.
