Will MACs ever stop becoming more popular?
Just like your job is only as secure (in today’s world) as your next paycheck, so too, the Mac and Apple itself, are probably secure in the market only for as long as they’re keeping their buyers and potential buyers happy and interested. The release of hardware that falls flat on it’s face wouldn’t do them much good. An incredibly buggy OS, or one that fails to address the needs of users would hurt them as well. But I think there are two key “features” of the Mac (and of the company as a whole) that if changed would lead quickly to Apple’s demise. They are: Releasing the OS “in the wild”. That’s to say, releasing it as a separate product intended to run on other non-Apple hardware. Part of the reason Macs are so stable, and provide such a good user experience is that it runs virtually perfectly on the hardware it was designed to run on.
