Will Lisa & David be recognised for overturning negative stereotypes of gay people?
I know they’re not to everyone’s taste, but I think David and Lisa have done brilliantly in confounding everybody’s expectations of gay people, and should be recognised for this by some sort of professional organisation. Lisa is a strong woman – a bit of a cow but with a heart of gold, while David is simply adorable. But both have generally acted in an honourable way whilst being in the house, definitely changing millions of peoples’ perceptions of gay people in a completely positive way. I’m not saying they should get an OBE or anything, but they could be honoured at something like the Pride of Britain awards (or maybe something on a slightly smaller scale).
