Yes and no. We care deeply about developer convenience (which is all about tracking fresh versions of dependencies, such as HBase-trunk) but also about devops facilitation which is about a good separation between application and configuration, and predictable deployment. So once we have proper packaged releases of Lily, these will include tested and certified HBase/SOLR.HDFS/Zookeeper/Kauri dependencies, but not at the cost of hindering development contributions on Lily-trunk. If you’ve been there before, you know what we’re talking about.
