Will LaneFX work in a vehicle that uses multiplexing / has one or more ECUs (Electronic Control Unit: onboard computer) / has reverse polarity for turn signals & reverse?
A. Yes. LaneFX’s Intelligent Install Technology is used at the time of installation to automatically learn the electronic configuration of your vehicle. LaneFX goes through this process once at installation and remembers your vehicle’s system configuration from then on, even if the LaneFX unit if disconnected or if your battery dies. In special cases (such as multiplexed vehicles or vehicles that use reverse polarity for some vehicle inputs), your certified LaneFX installer can take specific steps (as outlined in the installation guide) to ensure proper installation and operation of the LaneFX system.
