Will Kate Middletons parents have key roles in the royal family?
No, they will not become actual members of the royal family. There would be no “roles” they could play. They will be simply the prince’s parents-in-law. Given that Prince William seems to have established a nice relationship with his fiancee’s parents, I imagine that the couple will have regular contact with them but no more than that.
The Middletons will probably be allowed lots of things prior to the wedding and during the wedding. Prince William seems to have a lot of “say” in what is going on, and it seems that the Queen and Prince Charles are willing to indulge him even to the extent that even that dreadful git The Earl Spencer is not only going to be invited to the wedding, but allowed to come ungagged and unbound. I would think it would be particularly galling to the Queen and Prince Charles ..and the rest of the royal family..to have to put up with the same person who insulted them to their faces during Diana’s funeral….and is a skank and cad of the first order. Yet, they are indulging William on that account, so they are probably indulging William whatever he wants the Middleton’s involvement to be. Indulging William about the wedding is an entirely different matter than indulging William on an ongoing basis. I suspect the Middletons will be no more involved in matters of the UK royal wedding than Sarah Fe
