Will IntelliGolf offer course maps?
For many years we have been researching the possibility of adding course maps to IntelliGolf. In discussions with IntelliGolf users, and other products users worldwide, they have told us that course maps are cool to use the first couple of times. Thereafter they are time consuming to use on the course, large to download, costly to purchase (e.g. $9.95 to $19.95 per course), or come with high annual membership fees (e.g. $29.95 to $59.95 per year). As such, we have taken a more practical approach in IntelliGolf. Rather than charging for course downloads, consuming large amounts of handheld memory, and requiring significant (wireless) download times, we are providing IntelliGolf users with the ability to upload/download compact course scorecards with GPS-coordinates (vs maps) for the front, center, and back of the green, and to the 200, 150, and 100 yard/meter markers. This saves handheld memory, download times, and download costs.
