Will India ever get rid of brain drain?
Yes it will. But the politics, reservations based on caste are one of the major reasons for this brain drain. I am from the “forward” caste and could not get a seat in MDS due to these reservations. So, I left India and came to US. Now, I am one of less than 12 dentists in the world to have a dual specialty training. In US, you need to be smart but hard work is rewarded. That does not happen in India. But you are already seeing lot of my friends who are software programmers going back to India. This will continue to happen as things are getting better in India. Hey rasmalai001, you are an ABCD, what do you know about living conditions in India? Visiting India or seeing about India on Discovery Channel is not the same as living In India. Don’t judge, unless you lived for an extended period of time in India.
